3rd Graders at Hyde recently took an ELA and Math test. Now this might sound like a typical day at school, students taking a test, there’s nothing new about that, right? Ahhhh but there is. These tests were very different from the tests we are used to taking in our classrooms. These tests were taken “online” and we had to use a computer to choose our best answers.
In at least 4 sentences, tell us how you felt about using the computer to take a test. Did this feel different from when you take a test in your class? What was hard about it? What did you like about it? What advice would you give 3rd graders who are about to take a test online?

I felt happy to do this.I did not like you could not write on the lines.It was hard. Do not worry its just like a regler test but on the computer.
ReplyDeleteIt felt a litle weird because I`m used to writing in pencil.It was hard because It was my first test on a computer.I will say you will use a computer and mouse.No pencil or pen this time!
ReplyDeleteI felt like I was going to get left back.And it felt like I was going to go to summer school.I felt scared that I'm going to fail the test.It felt like you were taking the real test. If you have to take a test online you have to try your best.
ReplyDeleteIt felt kind of werid.It's not normal you'd wish it was the 1 you take in class.Here are my tips:1; it's not easy.P.S.it's on a computer.2;you think it's easy well it's hard kind of. Turst me i took it.
ReplyDeleteIt was hard because I was to scared to do the test.I was so afrid to do this test because it was LONG. I felt to scared.And 49 question i can not do AT ALL.
ReplyDeleteI felt scared when i took that test . It felt easier when I use the computer on the test. yes i did fill diffrent when i took the test in the class. when i had to right on the paper and was confusing.I liked when i just answered the questions on the computer not on the paper.
ReplyDeleteI felt happy because it was my first time doing a test on a computer. I really felt nervous about seeing my grade. I thought it was the feel test what I like about this test is it was on the computer.My advice is it is supose to be quiet and you can't cheet after you are done with the test read a book then you might get a math test next time you come back.
ReplyDeleteIt felt kind of weird.It was not like a test I take in my class.It was hard because you had to remember to type the right words.I liked that you got to look at something for once.so if you take this test be careful of what you type in because you may type something different that you dont want type.
ReplyDeleteI felt excited to take the test on the cumputer.Yes it did feel different to take the test on the cumputer.What was hard about it is I didn't know some of the answers.I would say try your hardest to get the answer right on your test.

It felt different because we put up folders for kids wont cheat.
I felt happy that I was using a computer.This felt different. I liked that we got to change our answer if we wanted to change it. Who ever takes a test on the computer you sould not cheat, and try your best, and dont forget not to talk.
ReplyDeleteI felt okay taking a test on the computer.It did feel diffrent Yes it did because I used a mouse. Nothing really was hard. I liked when I did the story problems.
ReplyDeleteI will tell them that on some of the questions will need to be done on a seprate piece of paper. Also to stay focused.
I felt really nervuos when I took my first test

taping on buttons.but I like to take my time
and we had 80 min.and that's more than enough
time.
It was not scary because I was positive and taking time to relax and ready to take the test. I wiil tell them to relax and take the test

ReplyDeleteI felt so scared beacause every test I take is very had. You sometimes can make a mistake and have to start over again. It was easy because I did not have to type. 3rd graders should be careful and not break the computer because then you might have to start over again.

ReplyDeleteI felt scared because the teachers are going to see it and grade it and its going to be on my report card.It did feel different because in my class its harder because i have to write with a pencil. In the computer it was easier because I just had to click and it was easier . I liked about it that it was in the computer and its easy for me because i go on the computer and when I write its going to be easier. I will give a 3 grader advice about how it would be hard and do the right thing and not play around with it this is what ill tell her or him .
ReplyDeleteHow I felt about the test is that it was a little bit hard because you had to keep quiet all the time when you feels like you want to talk so bad.It felt different because you have to bring a book instead of just getting a book.What I liked about it was that it was a little bit easy.My advice is that you need to be silent at all time.Also you have to recheck your work.The End!
ReplyDeleteI had a hard time with the test. It felt very different. What I liked about it was I didn't have to move my hand too much. I think 3rd Grade's advice should be "Don't be scared. It's just a test."
ReplyDeleteI felt nauseas about the test . I felt sick. This was wayyyyy different then my class test. The hard part was the math test. I had a hard time. Just remember, pay attention or study to pass. Do your best!
ReplyDeleteWha was diffent is we did'nt did'nt do it in our class and i was a little nevouse when my teacher said time for the test stundents. What was hard was when i didd'nt want to cheat and i had nobody sisting next to me. what i like about it is when it was the end of the test. I will give a third grader this don't be afraid if you take a test. When your teacher said test time dont be nevors and show courge for what you do. Dont forget do'nt be nevors. from a third grader.cool down when you take a test or a regular test.
ReplyDeleteYes i feel differen about taking a test in the class then the teaghnolegy.I feel geart because i got all of them right.Stuiding was most hardst for me.What i liked about it was i didnt mess up one bit.

ReplyDeletewhen I was on the computer to take the test I felt different becuase I have never taken a test in a computer.What was hard is when i had to take the test in the computer and on the paper doing writing.what it liked about the test was when I got to a question I would of work it out and take a deep breath.My advice for the third grade is never to be scared and always take a deep breath when you are stuck in a middle of a question.This how I felt about the test.

It was different from the one that I took in class.But itis nothing to be scared of.That when it came to the end it was not that easy to chack your work.Itis just like any other test.

ReplyDeleteI think writing on the paper was hard because we had write to explain. The test was different because we had to do the test on the monitor. For advice reread the story. Some questions were realy hard.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was taking the test it was scarey and I just didnt know some of the questions. Thats why you aways need to study .But it was more fun doing it on the computer doing on a plan sheet of paper .Study every once a week. Thaila
ReplyDeleteI felt diffrenet because I never took a online test before in my life. what was hard about the test was that there was so many question I had to anwser and some were wrong when I checked my anwser.I would say stuidei hard to get the anwser right or to get a theer or a four. from,nemille
ReplyDeleteI felt neverous because all that stuff I had to do. And the feeling that you messed something up.i just wish we could get a 4 and get it over with. but when I looked at my test I GOT a 4 and 1 wrong.

The hardest part that was hard for me was whan I had to see what does 16 tims 4 equal I had to scip numbers to get the answer.But the rest of the test was easy for me because the res of it was like kenagarden stuff . I thought that the test was going to be like the real test that we have to take in April .Im gad that I got all of my answer right.
